  • Our metal buildings tend to be around $30-$40/sqft for a single story metal building. This includes design, concrete, fabrication and construction of your metal building. Add ons including insulation, overhangs, wainscots, garage doors, and window sizes/quantities can make the exact price for your specific build vary. Feel free to reach out for an exact quote for your building!

Already have the concrete poured? Great, the price for just the building typically runs around $20-30/ft² if the concrete is already set in place. Just coordinate with us prior to the concrete pour, so we can provide insight into how the concrete pad will interact with the metal framework.

  • This depends upon project size, but most projects take about 2 to 3 months to complete from signing the contract. This includes 2 weeks for dirtwork, a week for underground plumbing installation, 2 weeks for concrete and 3-4 weeks for building installation.

Our team works as efficiently as possible while still upholding a zero-tolerance policy for craftsmanship errors.

  • We are the #1 local Steel Building Construction Company in central Texas because of our professionalism, attention to detail and commitment to the client.

One of our employees put it best - "I havnt seen a building built better than ours. Down to every last screws and piece of metal, everything looks square, level and finished"

We stand apart in our ability to design your entire building in our state-of-the-art 3D modeling software, alleviating many errors in the construction process, and allowing for design changes before breaking ground.

  • The biggest selling point for many of our clients is cost. In Texas, Metal buildings tend to be 20-30% cheaper than a wood building. With material prices on the rise, the cost differential between a wood versus steel building is growing.

Durability is another major advantage of metal buildings. With sheet metal panels having a 30 year paint warranty and steel beams lasting for decades, your building will be standing for generations to come

Low upkeep is always a plus. There is zero recoating or repainting of the exterior of the building like there is for traditional wood siding.

Aesthetics – The professional and permanent look of a custom designed metal building is bar-none to any other type of residential shop or building.

  • Yes, just know that within city limits, a construction permit is required, and potentially a professional engineer’s stamp for our design, which both add additional costs to the project.

  • This is a tough question to answer as every person has their own tolerance for risk. At the end of the day its the clients decision, however here is our general advice:

For shops we tell clients its not a huge necessity because any concrete cracking or settling wont have a huge impact on the functionality of the product. We design our foundations very similarly to how a PE would, however it just wont have the PE stamp approving it. Additionally, the cost to have it engineered usually makes it not worth it.

For Barndominiums however, we HIGHLY recommend paying for an engineered concrete foundation. This 99% guarantees no foundation problems in decades later that could cause serious damage to the interior buildout such as drywall cracking or floor damage.

Commercial projects inside of city limits will requires them to obtain construction permits.

  • The 2 options we provide clients with are spray foam or Batt Roll Insulation. Both can reach R-values all the way up to R-49, and each has different selling points.

Batt Insulation: Most commonly installed on residential shops because of its cost effectiveness. This is installed simultaneously while the metal siding is installed. To achieve an R-value higher than 19, a 2 layer system is utilized.

Spray Foam Insulation: We offer both closed cell and open cell insulation. The Desired R-value determines the thickness of the insulation needed, with open cell having an R-value of about 3 per inch and closed cell having an R-value of about 7 per inch. One big benefit of spray foam is the ability for it to completely seal off any potential air leakages in the building, hence providing more insulating value to the steel building.

  • 90% of the time, a weld-up metal building is the best option when outside of city limits. This is simply because of the cost - Bolt-up buildings tend to be 20-40% more material costs.

Inside of city limits, bolt-ups are the best route due to city requirements to have professional engineered plans in order to pull construction permits. The cost to get engineered plans on a weld-up end up surpassing the cost of bolt-up kits which have engineering costs already included.

  • ARRK provides a 1 year workmanship guarantee; meaning if anything happens to your metal building in the first year post-construction, we will send a crew out to fix the problem.

Note: this guarantee does not cover building damage due to equipment, vehicles, or severe weather damaging the building. It only covers damage from error in craftsmanship.

Additionally, most of our sheet suppliers provide a 30 year paint warranty on the sheeting. Confirmation of this warranty is required however.

  • No distance is too far for ARRK… well maybe let’s talk about that.

For the entire shell (dirtwork, concrete, plumbing and building) our crew and subcontractors can travel up to 3 hours away from Brazos county.

For Steel Building only installation our team is able to travel quite a distance to complete your project; with our limits usually being about a 6 hour drive from the Bryan/College Station area.

Any distance past an hour and a half and our team will stay in the area for periods of 4 days at a time to complete the project. If within the 1.5hr radius, we are able to drive to the jobsite each day to complete the work.

  • At ARRK, we enjoy the challenge of additions and custom modifications to metal buildings. That being said, we tend to only do additions for either previous clients that we built the original building for or large additions that requires several days of work. Otherwise we primarily focus on completing new construction buildings in a timely manner.

  • No problem, steel awnings and canopies are how we got into the metal building business anyway. These can be as custom as desired, with brick pillars or an entire slick painted cover. Whatever you have in mind, we know how to make it a reality!

  • One of our main source of projects is constructing the shell for barndominiums. This includes the dirtwork, concrete, underground plumbing, building installation and spray foam.

Often clients desire to be more “hands on” with their builds, subcontracting out the rest of the interior buildout of their homes themselves. We do have many connections and advice regarding the interior buildout, of which we are happy to share once we are done with the shell itself.

Currently, we are in the process of expanding our capabilities to be able to handle turnkey Barndominiums, from dirtwork all the way to complete interior finish out. We will only do 1 or 2 a year to ensure our quality remains high, but feel free to contact us to discuss this as an option.
